Like your typical American family, the Duggars' 4th of July celebration is a day filled with food, fellowship, and fireworks, but in the midst of the festivities, they remember those who made great sacrifices in the name of freedom. The family spends time praying for their nation and thanking God for the privileges they enjoy as U.S. citizens.

Michelle Duggar writes about Independence Day in her latest TLC Parentables post:

The children love to study about the great individuals that founded our country, the men and women that came before us. The kids and I will gather around and talk about what freedom means to us. To celebrate the day, we usually get together with family and friends and have a big cookout. At the end of the day, we set off fireworks or sometimes we’ll go and see a big fireworks display in our area.
